Q: I went to the doctor and found out I was pregnant. Can I come in for an ultrasound at no cost?
A: PRC only provides limited obstetric ultrasound to assess viability and gestational age. If you've already had an ultrasound for your current pregnancy, then we can offer pregnancy support, but no further medical care.
Q: I already bought a pregnancy test from the store. Why do I need to come in and be tested with you?
A: Our lab quality tests are just like the ones you would get in a doctor's office or hospital. Home pregnancy tests are usually accurate, but not always.
Q: I had sex last night and I think the condom broke. Can I come in today for a pregnancy test?
A: The hormones in your body that result in a positive pregnancy test can't be detected until seven to ten days after fertilization. It is best to wait until you have missed a period.
Q: Can I walk in or do I need an appointment?
A: It is usually best to schedule an appointment. We want to make sure we have someone available to meet with you.
Q: How long does a pregnancy test appointment last?
A: We provide a 45 minute appointment. This helps us get to know you, answer your questions, and determine how to best meet your needs.
Q: Can I come in for an ultrasound to find out the sex of my baby?
A: The ultrasounds that we offer are used to assess viability and gestational age after a positive pregnancy test. Ultrasounds to determine the sex of your baby can be obtained through your medical provider.
Q: Can I get birth control or the morning after pill at PRC?
A: We don't provide or refer for contraceptives (birth control) or the morning after pill. If you have questions or concerns regarding these medications, please contact your medical provider.
Q: I don't live near Everett, WA. Where can I go to find a pregnancy center near me?
A: Option Line is available 24/7 by calling 1-800-395-HELP.
Visit their website to search for a center in your area that can assist you.
Q: What do I do if my pregnancy test is positive and I don't have insurance?
A: PRC will provide you with a free of charge ultrasound appointment (to qualified clients), a pregnancy verification form, and a referral to a maternity case manager who will assist you in obtaining insurance coverage for your pregnancy.
Q: How do I qualify for a no cost ultrasound?
A: If your pregnancy test is positive, estimated gestational age is 6 weeks or more, and you haven't had an ultrasound for your current pregnancy, then you can schedule a limited obstetric ultrasound.
