Our Free Services
Pregnancy Test & Options Counseling For most women, the first visit to our center is to determine whether or not they are pregnant. During this appointment you will meet one on one with an advocate. She will take a brief medical history then assist you to perform a pregnancy test. Our tests are laboratory rated urine tests which means you don't have to worry about a blood draw and you will have the results within minutes. If your pregnancy test is positive your advocate will discuss with you the three different options you have to consider. She will take all the time needed to answer whatever questions you have and send you home with several brochures that can help you continue your decision making process.
Limited Obstetric Ultrasound Currently our ultrasound program is on hold while we train new nurse-sonographers. We apologize for the inconvenience. In some cases we may be able to refer you to another location for ultrasound to confirm the viability of your pregnancy.
Resources & Referrals Because we specialize in assisting women with unplanned pregnancies we have established many connections in our community with helpful resources. Everything from help getting medical coupons to referrals to health care providers to housing to clothing and diapers. If there is a free or low cost service related to women's health, pregnancy, birth or parenting in our area, we know about it and can help you find the support you need!
Pregnancy Support Group If you decide to continue your pregnancy, we provide a place for you to find support and friendship with other women in the community. Once a month this informal meeting (called Pickles & Ice Cream Club) will have a different topic, such as: Pregnancy Mythbusters, Good Eats for Pregnancy or Prenatal Bonding. There is plenty of time for discussion and, of course, a yummy snack. Best of all, each time you attend, you get to spend 15 "baby bucks" in our maternity clothes boutique! Click here to see the calendar!
Birth & Baby Preparation Classes We know as your pregnancy progresses you start to think more about the upcoming birth and what it will be like to care for a baby. Our goal is to teach you the skills you need to have a good birth experience and succeed in the first few months as a mother. We want you to feel confident and relieve your fears. If the father of the baby will be involved, our classes will show him how to be supportive and helpful. Click here to learn more about our classes and register online!
Maternity & Baby Boutique When you attend any of our classes you earn credits (called baby bucks) to spend in our boutique. There are many new and gently used items available such as: baby clothing, maternity clothing, diapers, blankets, books, toys, swings, strollers and furniture. We receive donations to the boutique daily so there are always plenty of new items available.
